The diner-style setup makes it easy to grab a bite without any fuss, whether you’re dining in or taking out.

The menu is a perfect blend of familiar flavors with a few fun twists. Taco Time is known for its freshly made tacos, but there's so much more to explore. The crispy tacos are packed with flavor, from the seasoned beef to the tender chicken or veggie options, each topped with just the right amount of fresh lettuce, cheese, and salsa. If you’re in the mood for something a little more filling, the burritos are hearty and satisfying, wrapped up in a soft tortilla with generous fillings that hit the spot every time.

One of the standout items here is the crisp bean and cheese burrito, a classic that’s done right. The beans are smooth and flavorful, and the cheese melts perfectly into the warm tortilla, making each bite incredibly comforting. If you're more of a fan of something with a little extra zest, the spicy chicken soft tacos bring just the right amount of heat, balanced by the cooling crema. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite on the go or sitting down to enjoy a meal, Taco Time’s relaxed vibe and delicious menu offer a perfect mix of comfort and satisfaction.

While Taco Time’s menu features all the traditional Tex-Mex staples, it also provides a few surprises, including some lighter options for those looking for something a bit more health-conscious. The salads are refreshing and full of flavor, often topped with a tangy dressing that complements the fresh veggies without overpowering them.

For those looking for something to pair with their meal, the drinks menu offers everything from ice-cold sodas to refreshing iced teas, making it easy to quench your thirst after a spicy bite. Plus, if you’re in the mood for dessert, the sweet cinnamon crisps are a crowd-pleaser, dusted in cinnamon sugar and served warm.

With its friendly service, flavorful food, and relaxed ambiance, Taco Time has earned its place as a local staple. Whether you’re a longtime resident or just passing through, it’s a great spot to grab a quick, tasty meal that’ll leave you feeling satisfied and happy.

What People's Say About Place

Came here looking for something we didnt have back home in Texas and was pleasantly surprised. Very much a tex mex style establishment. I wouldnt compare them to tacobell or cabana they have theyre on flavor they fall into. The staff and service was great. Pretty large portions. We shared the grilled steak quesadilla and burrito with stuffed mexi bites. The original sauce ended up being our favorite, none of the sauces were spicy. The ingredients seemed very fresh and the rice in the burrito was impressive. Great spot to check out.

This is our favorite Taco Time and we usually stop when we’re going through The Dalles, as it is always clean and their food is fresh and tasty. Today we stopped and had a little issue, didn’t expect anything, but let the lady who had rung us up know that she should probably check on something. She apologized and we left to go around back to the restrooms. When I came out to the car she was handing my husband a bag and smiled at me and said that she had brought us dessert. What a sweet gesture and amazing customer service. This will continue to be our favorite stop!

I finally made it to Taco Time! Over a year long wait and it did not disappoint! The mexi-fries were tater tots with jalapeños and cheese in them (but not spicy) and very good. I loved both the bean and meat crisp burritos. Drive thru was fast and efficient. Will be back. Thank you, Taco Time!

I love Taco Time and it's always a must stop whenever I make it to or travel past The Dalles. Clean and comfortable dining area, clean updated restrooms, friendly staff, and great food!

Best crustos we ever have had. The bathrooms were clean and roomier than any other tacos time i have seen. Staff was all friendly.

Was traveling through town on a busy Thursday and dropped by here. They were fast, the food was great, and the place was very clean. Staff were kind. While I was eating staff checked on the dining area three times to clean up. Great place.

I did not go on so I don't have an opinion on the atmosphere. I have been eating at Taco Time since I worked at one in the late it's. The food was fresh, was asked for my order immediately and I was pleased with the young man at the drive up window.

Food was tasty, however the crisp pinto bean burritos could have been crispier. The building is a little dated but don't let that detir you because the food was all hot, fresh, smelled wonderful and tasted good. The staff was kind and conversational, the atmosphere was nice. Have not had taco time for a long while, def worth it. :)
